Donald Garritano, President/C.E.O.
With over 20 years experience in commercial construction and custom landscape services in the Las Vegas Valley, Donald Garritano is a seasoned industry veteran skilled in providing comprehensive landscape services from preliminary design through installation and maintenance.
At D&K Landscape, Inc., he operates in a C.E.O. capacity, working with executive staff and division heads as strategist to implement the company’s annual business plan. Along with his executive team, Garritano analyzes operations reports from division managers, forecasts the company’s growth plan, manages cash flow, approves all major capital purchases and contracts. Additionally, he serves as the company licensee.
His role as coach and mentor serves as an integral part in the professional growth of D&K’s most valuable assets – its employees. His investment to the company and industry has proven to be a viable part of D&K’s success.
Garritano is the company’s ambassador, involving himself and D&K in industry and community services. He is an active member of the Las Vegas Executives Association, Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club and the C.E.O. membership organization, ‘Vistage’. Furthermore, Garritano is committed to serving local charities, routinely contributing to charitable organizations and events such as Christmas in April, Feed the Homeless, Opportunity Village and the Women’s Development Center.
He is a true student to the landscape business, always exploring new and innovative means to add value to the company, its products and the industry. In addition to D&K Landscape, Garritano has established three counterpart companies: Creative Play, Landscape Creative.com, and BioFirst.
A manufacturer and distributor of play structures, skate park equipment, rubberized surfacing, site furnishings and shade structures, Creative Play has positioned itself as Nevada’s premier provider of innovative playground equipment.
Landscape Creative.com is an inventive landscape design technology that allows clients to select and customize different pool and back yard landscape designs, as well as compare landscape and pool bids – all from the comfort of their home computer.
Garritano, along with other industry leaders and the Nevada Department of Forestry is spearheading new, patented technology that will enable woody biomass and sewage sludge to be converted into renewable energy, through the ground-breaking, eco-friendly endeavor, BioFirst.
In his free time, Garritano is an outdoorsman who enjoys sailing, golfing, snow boarding and camping with his wife Anita, sons Andrew, Michael, Matthew and friends.
